A Chance To Make a Change
The Rio Retreat Center offers a wide range of workshops as well as professional development trainings and private intensives to help individuals wherever they are on their own unique journey of healing, discovery, and emotional growth.
We’ve been offering workshops for more than three decades, and there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re interested in addressing past trauma, improving relationships, or experiencing personal growth, at Rio Retreat Center, so much can be accomplished in a week. You’ll have the opportunity to do a deep dive into a particular area or topic, free from the minutiae of daily life. As you are able to really focus on yourself in a healing environment, you can achieve in five days what might take you a year or two in weekly therapy sessions, making our offerings a great value in behavioral health.
Rio Retreat Center is a proud part of the Meadows Behavioral Healthcare family of treatment programs, which includes our flagship program The Meadows along with Gentle Path at The Meadows, Claudia Black Young Adult Center, The Meadows Ranch, Willow House at The Meadows, The Meadows Malibu, The Meadows Texas, and The Meadows Outpatient Centers. With a proven track record and a stellar reputation in the industry, MBH has been unparalleled in leading patients to successful outcomes for recovery from trauma, drug and alcohol addiction to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, sex addiction, and more.
The Meadows Model is at the core of all of our treatment programs, including the workshops offered at Rio Retreat Center. It is based on the pioneering work of Meadows Senior Fellow Pia Mellody, one of the preeminent authorities in the fields of addiction and relationships. For more than four decades, we’ve been using these innovative therapeutic techniques to identify and treat the underlying trauma of addictive and dysfunctional processes. If you find yourself needing inpatient or outpatient care, we’re here to help.
"At Rio Retreat, we have created a safe, nurturing environment with highly skilled staff where people can obtain deep personal healing."
Jean Collins-Stuckert, Executive Director
Mental health is essential to overall health. Is past pain or trauma holding you back? Are current unhealthy relationships or patterns keeping you from becoming the person you know you are meant to be? When unresolved, these issues can infiltrate every aspect of your life: physical health, parenting, career, finances, caregiving, and common daily activities.
The more you know about yourself, the better equipped you are to engage in healthy relationships and move through life with a positive, healthy sense of self.
