Our Workshop Coordinators are here to help and are experienced in assisting others with compassion, dignity, and respect − values that are central to Rio Retreat Center. Since workshops fill quickly, we encourage making reservations three to four weeks in advance.
How to Register for a Workshop
Registration is only available by contacting a Workshop Coordinator. We want to ensure that you are signing up for the workshop that best fits your situation. Therefore, online registration is not available unless stated on the workshop page.
Why can’t you simply fill out an online form? Because we want to connect with you early on in the process, ensuring that you are signing up for the workshop that best fits your situation. This allows us to listen to your concerns and ask the right questions, something an online form can’t do. That’s why online registration is not available unless stated on the individual workshop page.
Additional Information
- Workshop attendees are responsible for their own lodging and transportation. Suggestions for both will be sent in your confirmation email.
- Workshop groups run Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30 am to 4 pm. The schedule is somewhat flexible to accommodate the size of the group and the group process. Evening programming is provided after dinner between 6 and 7 pm.
- Rio Retreat Center has a campus dress code and strict smoking policy. Please contact us for more information.

We rely on an accurate attendance count to make important arrangements for your workshop. If a cancellation occurs 14 or more days prior to the start of the workshop, a full refund, less a $600 administrative fee, will be issued or an allowance will be made for a one-time transfer to another workshop date. Cancellations less than 14 days before the beginning date of the workshop are non-refundable. If you have to cancel or transfer your workshop, please contact our Intake Department at 877-787-2226 as soon as possible; we often have a waiting list of people who want to attend.
