Professional Development

Expanding the skills of mental health and addiction professionals

For more than 40 years, The Meadows trauma treatment program has been helping those struggling with emotional trauma to heal and learn the skills necessary to cope with the devastating, and often hidden, effects of trauma. Our intensive, professional development workshops, are designed to help mental health and addiction professionals gain additional skills and insights for effectively treating their clients.

Post-Induction Therapy (PIT) Training (Virtual Training)

Post-Induction Therapy is designed to introduce a disease concept of developmental immaturity to counselors and therapists who work with codependency issues. The premise of PIT is that childhood trauma, including child abuse and neglect, is the origin of developmental immaturity. This intensive week-long course, developed solely for the formal training of therapists, focuses on Pia Mellody’s pioneering work in developing therapeutic techniques for identifying and treating the underlying trauma of most addictive and dysfunctional processes.
