Family Week Program

Our intensive Family Week Program takes place during the fourth week of the patient’s treatment program. Family members and significant others are invited on campus to actively participate in their loved one’s recovery process. In the weeks leading up to Family Week, patients discover that much of their current dysfunctional and maladaptive behaviors stem from past trauma.

The benefits of Family Week include:

• An opportunity for patients and their families to understand family-of-origin dynamics and family systems, so they can begin the healing process together.
• The group setting – family members, patients, and a family counselor – allows for open and honest reflection of the behavioral patterns that contributed to a patient’s unhealthy and maladaptive lifestyle.
• Patients and their families learn how to effectively communicate, support each other emotionally, and establish appropriate boundaries.
• Collaboration fosters the healing process and brings families closer, promoting long-term healing and recovery.

Rebuilding relationships is important. Gentle Path at The Meadows, located in Wickenburg, Arizona, provides an intensive, experientially based 45-day treatment program for men with the complex issues of sexual addictions.

We are a Behavioral Health Inpatient Facility with 28 beds, providing the highest level of care dedicated exclusively to men suffering from sexual addictions. We are accredited by The Joint Commission which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safe, high quality care, and treatment. In a safe and nurturing community composed of their peers, men are guided on their journey of recovery by examining the underlying causes of addiction and co-occurring disorders. The goal is for these individuals to gain the courage to face difficult issues, including grief and loss; heal from emotional trauma; and become accountable for their own feelings, behaviors, and recovery.
